JAMMU: A notorious criminal was detained under the stringent Public Safety Act (PSA) in Jammu on Sunday, police said.
According to a police spokesperson, Shubham Gill alias Maya, a resident of Dogra Hall, was apprehended by a team from Pacca Danga police station and lodged in district jail Udhampur.
Police described Gill as a hardcore criminal, adding that his detention under the PSA reflects the department’s commitment to maintaining peace and law and order, and to taking strict action against individuals involved in activities harmful to public safety.
