DC Poonch reviews progress on land record digitization

POONCH: Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Ashok Kumar Sharma, today chaired a revenue review meeting to assess the progress under the Digital India Land Records Modernization Programme (DILRMP) and the ongoing digitization of land records, including the updation of Jamabandis and Girdawaris across all Tehsils.

Reviewing the current status, the Deputy Commissioner stressed the importance of accuracy, transparency, and timely completion of digitization activities. He directed all Tehsildars to expedite the scanning, quality verification, and integration of records with the centralized database to ensure that citizens benefit from the digital land record system at the earliest.

The DC also took stock of the implementation of the Public Services Guarantee Act (PSGA), disposal of court cases, and updation of revenue records. He urged field officials to intensify their efforts to maintain error-free and up-to-date records and to ensure prompt service delivery to the public.

The meeting was attended by ADC Tahir Mustafa Malik, ACR Mohd Sayeed, Tehsildars, Naib Tehsildars, Girdawars, Patwaris, and other concerned revenue officials.
