Texas [US]: Two people were killed after a small plane crashed near a Texas airfield and slammed into an 18-wheeler before bursting into flames on Sunday, according to the New York Post.

Authorities have not yet identified the victims, and it is unclear whether anyone else was injured in the incident.

Local officials said the aircraft struck an 18-wheeler and several trailers before catching fire on Sunday afternoon. Thick black smoke from the wreckage was visible for miles.

The New York Post, citing the Fort Worth Fire Department, reported that the crash occurred in Tarrant County near Hicks Airfield, located between Fort Worth Alliance Airport and Fort Worth Meacham Airport.
