JAMMU: Security forces in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kathua district safely defused an old mortar shell discovered in farmland at Karol Mathura, a border village in the Hiranagar sector, officials said.
The shell was found on Sunday evening after local residents alerted authorities. A bomb disposal squad promptly reached the site and successfully neutralized the explosive device, they added.
