DODA: Government Degree College (GDC) Kastigarh organized a Poster Making Competition as part of the “Tobacco-Free Youth Campaign 3.0”, an initiative of the Government of India aimed at creating awareness among youth about the harmful effects of tobacco use and promoting a healthy, addiction-free lifestyle.

The event was held under the guidance of Prof. Koshal Kumar Mangotra, Principal of the College, who underscored the crucial role of youth in driving awareness on tobacco control and de-addiction. He noted that such activities empower students to act as ambassadors of change, contributing to the creation of a healthier and more responsible society.

A large number of students participated with great enthusiasm, expressing their creativity through impactful and informative posters illustrating the dangers of tobacco consumption on human health and the environment. Their artworks carried strong messages advocating for a tobacco-free and healthy society.

The competition was coordinated by Dr. Sumit Kotwal and Dr. Anupam Lata, with active support from faculty members who motivated students to adopt and promote healthy lifestyle choices. The best posters were evaluated by a panel of judges, and the winners will be felicitated in the upcoming college function.
