Banihal/Jammu: A man suffered a fatal heart attack after his son collapsed in his lap while they were on their way to a hospital in Jammu and Kashmir’s Ramban district on Tuesday morning, officials said.
The tragedy took place in the Tethar area of Banihal, where 45-year-old Shabir Ahmed Gania was rushing his ailing 14-year-old son Sahil Ahmed to a hospital. On the way, Sahil suddenly collapsed in his father’s lap. Overwhelmed by the shock, Shabir too suffered a heart attack and died on the spot, officials said.
Both bodies were later shifted to the sub-district hospital in Banihal, they added.
