SRINAGAR: Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary on Wednesday reaffirmed the government’s unwavering commitment to the comprehensive development and welfare of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
During an extensive tour of the Chanpora Constituency in Srinagar, the Deputy Chief Minister emphasized that the Omar Abdullah-led government is determined to ensure equitable and sustainable progress across all regions of the Union Territory.
“People will judge this government after our five-year report card,” he remarked, highlighting the administration’s focus on transparent and result-oriented governance.
Accompanied by local legislator Mushtaq Ahmad Guroo, the Deputy Chief Minister inspected several ongoing developmental projects, including the Community Centre at Hyderpora, the Marriage Hall at Haranbal Natipora, the Bailey Bridge project at Chanpora, and the widening of the Rawalpora–Mocho Road. He also reviewed the progress of the Bund Road project from Chanpora to Natipora Junction, along with other works underway across the constituency.
At the Community Centre Hyderpora, Choudhary directed officials to submit a detailed progress report and expedite the remaining work so that the facility could be opened for public use at the earliest. He further instructed concerned departments to remove bottlenecks and complete utility shifting along the Rawalpora–Mocho Road to ensure smooth traffic flow and improved connectivity.
To enhance mobility in the Chanpora area, the Deputy Chief Minister also directed that work on the Bailey Bridge project be initiated without delay. He stressed that all ongoing projects—including the Bund Road and Chanpora–Natipora Junction roads—must be completed within the stipulated timelines.
