Div Com chairs Jammu Smart City Board meeting
JAMMU: Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Ramesh Kumar, who also serves as Chairman of Jammu Smart City Limited (JSCL), today chaired a meeting of the Board of Directors at his office in Bahu Plaza.
The meeting was attended by Inspector General of Police Bhim Sen Tuti; Deputy Commissioner Jammu; Vice Chairman JDA; Chief Executive Officer JSCL; Chief Engineers of PWD and PDD; officials from Jammu Municipal Corporation, and other concerned departments.
A series of agenda items were placed before the Board for approval, ratification, and information. The discussions primarily focused on re-purposing of JSCL’s Special Purpose Vehicles, exploring revenue generation and sharing models to ensure long-term maintenance and sustainability of projects completed under the Smart City Mission.
The Divisional Commissioner directed the CEO JSCL to explore hosting data and cloud services through the Integrated Command and Control Centre (ICCC) and submit proposals for extending these services to various government departments.
The Board also discussed monetization of IT assets, finalization of revenue-sharing mechanisms for the sustained functioning of ICCC and ITMS, and measures to strengthen cybersecurity.
Progress on key projects including the development of the Right Bank of Tawi River Front, construction of the Waste to Wonder Park at Bhagwati Nagar, and the second phase of the Oceanarium at Bahu Fort was also reviewed during the meeting.
