Arnia Sector: The Border Security Force (BSF) has intensified security measures along the International Border in Jammu and Kashmir’s Arnia Sector ahead of the Deepawali festival. Night patrolling and surveillance have been stepped up to ensure round-the-clock safety in the border region.

Despite the festive atmosphere, BSF personnel remain on full alert, dedicated to ensuring a secure and peaceful celebration for citizens. A BSF official stated that the force is fully prepared to tackle any potential security challenges, allowing people to celebrate Diwali without fear.

Sharing a message for the public, a BSF member said, “People should celebrate Diwali joyfully with their families. The BSF is vigilant and always ready to respond firmly to any threat. We extend warm Diwali greetings to all citizens and assure them that as long as the BSF is guarding the borders, there is no need for concern.”

Another BSF personnel echoed the sentiment, adding that while they may be away from their families during the festival, they celebrate Diwali together as one BSF family at the border.

The BSF extended heartfelt Deepawali greetings to the nation, reaffirming its unwavering commitment to protect the country’s frontiers.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also extended his wishes on the occasion of Dhanteras.
“Heartfelt Dhanteras greetings to all my family members across the country. On this sacred occasion, I pray for everyone’s happiness, prosperity, and good health. May Lord Dhanvantari bestow his abundant blessings upon all,” the Prime Minister wrote on X.

Dhanteras marks the beginning of the five-day Diwali festival and is dedicated to the worship of Lord Dhanvantari, the god of Ayurveda, along with Lord Ganesha, Goddess Lakshmi, and Lord Kuber. The day is considered highly auspicious for making new purchases and welcoming prosperity.

Observed on the thirteenth lunar day of Krishna Paksha in the month of Aaswayuja, Dhanteras marks the first day of the Deepawali festivities in the Hindu calendar.
