Mumbai: Bollywood actor Sunny Deol marked his birthday with a special treat for his fans — the announcement of his next film, Gabru. The actor unveiled the film’s first look, which also features Simran Bagga and Prit Kamani in key roles.
Describing Gabru as a story of “courage, conscience, and compassion,” Sunny expressed heartfelt gratitude to his fans for their unwavering support. Sharing the first glimpse on social media, he wrote,
“Power isn’t what you show, it’s what you do! Thank you everyone for your love and blessings. Here’s something for all of you who have been waiting… #Gabru — in cinemas 13th March 2026. A story of courage, conscience, and compassion. From my heart… to the world!”
Following the announcement, fans flooded social media with birthday wishes and excitement for his upcoming film. One user commented, “Happy birthday, my inspiration,” while another wrote, “Thank you for this gift on your birthday!”
Presented by Om Chhangani and Echelon, Gabru is written and directed by Shashank Udapurkar. The film’s music is composed by Mithoon, Satinder Sartaaj, and Anurag Saikya, with lyrics by Sayeed Quadri. It is slated for release on March 13, 2026.
Sunny Deol also has Border 2 in the pipeline. Directed by Anurag Singh, the war drama stars Varun Dhawan and Diljit Dosanjh, with Punjabi actor Sonam Bajwa recently joining the cast. The film is scheduled to release on January 22, 2026.
Meanwhile, Sunny celebrated his birthday with a joyful video shared on Instagram, where he is seen singing along to Punjabi music amid fireworks. Captioned “Happy Birthday To ME”, the post drew warm wishes from his industry friends, including Preity Zinta, who wrote, “Happy Birthday to you… Loads of love, happiness n success today n always,” while brother Bobby Deol dropped heart and cake emojis.
