1,520 Police Personnel Promoted Across Jammu Region on Diwali
Jammu: In a significant Diwali gesture symbolising renewal and recognition, the Jammu and Kashmir Police on Monday promoted 1,520 personnel across various ranks in the Jammu region, officials said.
Inspector General of Police (IGP) Jammu Zone, Bhim Sen Tuti, issued the promotion orders, which cover a wide range of ranks and reflect the department’s commitment to structured career growth and professional development.
According to officials, the list of promotees includes 10 assistant sub-inspectors promoted to sub-inspector, four head constables elevated to assistant sub-inspector, 874 selection grade constables promoted to head constable, and 632 constables elevated to selection grade constable.
These promotions, the officials said, recognise the personnel’s dedication, discipline, and years of selfless service, marking a proud milestone in their professional journeys.
IGP Tuti congratulated the newly promoted officers and reiterated that the Jammu Zone Police remains steadfast in fostering talent, rewarding merit, and motivating its personnel to perform their duties with renewed zeal and responsibility.
He urged all officers to continue upholding the highest standards of professionalism and public service, contributing to both the safety of the community and the enduring honour of the Jammu Police.
