Mumbai: Actor Kajol is celebrating 30 years of the iconic film Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (DDLJ) with a heartfelt tribute on social media.
Taking to Instagram, Kajol shared a poster of the cult classic, which also starred Shah Rukh Khan, and expressed her gratitude to fans for their unwavering love and admiration over the years.
“DDLJ completes 30 years today in time, but the way it has spread around the world and through everybody’s hearts and minds simply cannot be counted. Thank you all for loving it in this phenomenal way!” she wrote.
Adding a playful touch, Kajol included a humorous slide about the film, captioning it, “Slide to see how far it really has gone.”
Fans quickly flooded the comment section with emotional messages celebrating three decades of the beloved film. One user commented, “Among your films that will never be erased from memory and will always remain alive,” while another wrote, “A classic defined, a generation inspired. Released in 1995, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge was directed by Aditya Chopra and produced by Yash Chopra. Shot across India, London, and Switzerland, the film tells the story of Raj and Simran—two young lovers whose romance blossoms during a trip to Europe but faces challenges rooted in tradition and family values.
