India’s star opener Smriti Mandhana has further consolidated her position at the top of the ICC Women’s ODI Batter Rankings, following a string of consistent performances in the ongoing ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup.
Mandhana registered back-to-back half-centuries in the tournament, including a superb 88-run knock against England in Indore, even though India fell short in a close contest. Her impressive form has widened her lead at the top, placing her 83 rating points ahead of England skipper Nat Sciver-Brunt, who has scored 191 runs so far in the tournament.
The Indian opener has been in exceptional touch, having earlier been named the ICC Women’s Player of the Month for September 2025 for her standout displays in the ODI series against Australia leading up to the World Cup.
Elsewhere in the rankings, Australia captain Alyssa Healy climbed one place to joint-third after smashing consecutive centuries, while South Africa’s Tazmin Brits moved up to ninth following a series of solid contributions.
There was significant movement just outside the top 10 as well. India’s Harmanpreet Kaur jumped three spots to 15th, Australia’s Phoebe Litchfield advanced five places to 17th, and England’s Heather Knight surged 15 places to 18th, all buoyed by strong batting performances.
In the bowling charts, England’s Sophie Ecclestone continues her dominance at the top of the ODI bowlers’ rankings. India’s Deepti Sharma climbed three spots to third after bagging 13 wickets in five World Cup games, while Australia’s Alana King moved up two places to seventh.
Pakistan’s bowlers also enjoyed notable gains — Nashra Sundhu rose three places to 11th, Sadia Iqbal advanced five spots to joint-14th, and Fatima Sana climbed to 24th. Fatima also improved her standing among ODI all-rounders, rising five places to 15th.
Meanwhile, Australia’s Ash Gardner continues to lead the all-rounders’ rankings, with Sri Lanka captain Chamari Athapaththu moving up one spot to seventh.
