Babar Azam, Naseem Shah Return as Pakistan Announce White-Ball Squads for Home Series

New Delhi: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has unveiled its white-ball squads for the upcoming home fixtures against South Africa and Sri Lanka, featuring the return of star players Babar Azam and Naseem Shah to the T20I side, and Haris Rauf to the ODI setup.

Pakistan will host South Africa for a six-match series comprising three T20Is and three ODIs starting October 28, followed by three ODIs against Sri Lanka from November 11, according to the ICC.

After these bilateral series, Rawalpindi and Lahore will stage a T20I tri-series involving Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Zimbabwe. Salman Ali Agha will continue as captain in the shortest format.

Babar Azam and Naseem Shah, who missed the recent T20I series against the West Indies and the Asia Cup, make their comeback just months before the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup. Haris Rauf also returns to the ODI lineup alongside Faisal Akram and Haseebullah, marking Pakistan’s first 50-over matches under new captain Shaheen Shah Afridi.
