J&K Government Announces Transfer and Posting of Four JKPS Officers

Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir Administration on Thursday ordered a reshuffle among senior police officers, effecting several transfers and postings with immediate effect.

According to an order issued by the Home Department, the changes were made after obtaining approval from the competent authority and clearance from the Election Commission of India.

As per the order:

Mr. Girdhari Lal (JKPS 2001), SSP Traffic Rural, Jammu, has been transferred and posted as SSP CIROSE, Jammu, against a vacant post.

Mr. Amit Bhasin (JKPS 2001), who was awaiting orders, has been appointed SSP Traffic City, Jammu, replacing Mr. Farooq Qesor Malik.

Mr. Farooq Qesor Malik (JKPS 2004), SSP Traffic City, Jammu, has been transferred and posted as SSP Traffic Rural, Jammu, succeeding Mr. Girdhari Lal.

Mr. Koushal Kumar (JKPS 2008), also awaiting orders, has been posted as Dy. CO 18 IR, against an available vacancy.

The administration said the transfers were aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and strengthening policing across the Union Territory.
