Mumbai: Actor Alia Bhatt penned a heartfelt birthday message for her mother, Soni Razdan, showering her with love and warmth on social media.
Taking to Instagram, Alia shared an adorable note for her “mama birdie,” writing, “You are our whole universe, and you light it up every… single… day!!!!!” The post also featured a series of candid photos capturing the mother-daughter duo’s happy moments together.
Soni Razdan responded with heart emojis in the comments, while actor Dia Mirza and Riddhima Kapoor Sahni also extended their wishes to the Raazi star through their own posts.
Alia’s sister, Shaheen Bhatt, joined in the celebration by sharing unseen throwback pictures of their mother, along with a witty and affectionate caption: “Happy birthday to the most beautiful woman in the world and the family’s CEO, CFO, HR head, and full-time crisis management department. I love you.”
Soni Razdan, who married filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt on April 20, 1986, is mother to Shaheen and Alia. Over the years, she has appeared in several acclaimed films including Saaransh, Gumrah, and Mandi, and starred alongside Alia in Raazi (2018).
Most recently, Razdan appeared in Danish Renzu’s Songs of Paradise, inspired by the life and music of Padma Shri awardee Raj Begum. The film also stars Saba Azad, Zain Khan Durrani, Sheeba Chaddha, Taaruk Raina, Shishir Sharma, and Lillete Dubey, and is presented by Excel Entertainment in collaboration with Apple Tree Pictures and Renzu Films.
Meanwhile, Alia is currently filming Alpha, directed by Shiv Rawail — a much-anticipated addition to Yash Raj Films’ spy universe, slated for release on December 25.
