Mumbai: Actress Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia, who recently made her big-screen debut in Shaunki Sardar alongside singer-actor Guru Randhawa, is now set to make her mark in the OTT space with an upcoming Hindi web series.
A source close to the development revealed, “Nimrit has been very selective about her next step after her Punjabi film debut. She wanted to take on a project that offers something fresh and challenging in the digital space. The series she’s currently working on is performance-driven and will truly showcase her range as an actor.”
According to insiders, the actress began shooting for the series last month in Mumbai, and the production is presently underway. While specific details about the storyline and her character remain under wraps, the show is said to be a character-focused drama with elements of mystery, giving audiences a chance to see a new and intense side of Nimrit.
“The makers are maintaining strict secrecy around the concept for now, but the project is expected to be a remarkable OTT debut for Nimrit,” the source added.
Speaking of Shaunki Sardar, the film also features Babbu Maan and Guggu Gill, and is directed by Dheeraj Kedarnath Rattan. Produced by Ishaan Kapoor, Shah Jandiali, and Dharminder Bataouli, the film released in theatres on May 16, 2025.

Earlier this year, Nimrit also appeared in the music video “Bepanaah” alongside Tiger Shroff. The vibrant track, written and composed by Avitesh Shrivastava, son of the late music legend Aadesh Shrivastava, marked Tiger’s first on-screen collaboration with Nimrit.
