Mumbai: The third song from Manish Malhotra’s upcoming film Gustaakh Ishq—titled Shehar Tere—has been released, beautifully expressing the emotions of longing and yearning for one’s beloved.
The track poetically gives voice to the unspoken feelings of love, set against the backdrop of changing seasons. The heartfelt chemistry between Vijay Varma and Fatima Sana Shaikh elevates the song, while Naseeruddin Shah and Sharib Hashmi add their captivating screen presence.
Shehar Tere brings together the musical brilliance of Vishal Bhardwaj, Jazim Sharma, and Himani Kapoor, complemented by Gulzar’s soul-stirring lyrics.
Marking a new creative chapter for celebrated designer Manish Malhotra, Gustaakh Ishq is produced under his banner Stage5 Production, alongside his brother Dinesh Malhotra.
Directed by Vibhu Puri, the film unfolds as a “poignant tale of passion and unspoken desire,” set in the evocative bylanes of Purani Dilli and the fading havelis of Punjab.
The teaser, unveiled in August, offered a glimpse into Malhotra’s “daring story of love—ishq,” hinting at a period romance between the characters portrayed by Vijay Varma and Fatima Sana Shaikh, with Naseeruddin Shah adding depth to the narrative through his enigmatic role.
Speaking about the project, Vijay Varma told reporters here., “I’m very excited. It’s a simple, lovely, beautiful, and rich love story.”
Earlier releases from the film include Ul Jalool Ishq and Aap Is Dhoop.
Gustaakh Ishq is set to hit theatres on November 21, 2025.
