Jammu: An Agniveer soldier sustained injuries on Thursday after his weapon accidentally discharged along the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district.
Sources said the incident occurred during a post-firing drill when the soldier, identified as Krishna Pal Singh, accidentally shot himself in the right toe while cleaning his weapon.
He was immediately evacuated to a nearby hospital for treatment, they added.
