Northern Railway to run two unreserved special trains for Katra passengers

Jammu: To accommodate the increased rush of passengers, Northern Railway has announced two unreserved special trains between Delhi Junction and Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra.

According to an official spokesperson, Train No. 04479 (Delhi Junction–Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra Unreserved Special) will depart from Delhi Junction tomorrow at 4:55 pm, while Train No. 04481 on the same route will depart on November 4 at 4:55 pm.

Both trains will halt at Bhodwal Majri, Panipat Junction, Ambala Cantt, Sanehwal, Ludhiana Junction, Phagwara Junction, Jalandhar Cantt, Pathankot Cantt, Kathua, Hiranagar, Samba, and Jammu Tawi, the spokesperson said.

The move aims to provide additional travel options for pilgrims and passengers visiting Shri Mata Vaishno Devi, officials added.

Passengers have been advised to verify train timings through the Indian Railways website, NTES app, or by dialing 139 before commencing their journey, said Uchit Singhal, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, Jammu Division.
