Srinagar: Senior journalist Tariq Bhat passed away here on Tuesday after suffering a heart attack, family sources said. He was 54.
Bhat, who served as the Jammu and Kashmir Bureau Chief of The Week magazine, breathed his last at around 7:30 am.
According to family members, he complained of chest pain at his residence and was rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.
He was later laid to rest at his ancestral graveyard in Dalgate, Srinagar.
