The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) will host the International Conference on Green Hydrogen (ICGH 2025) on November 11–12 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. The conference aims to unite global stakeholders to discuss strategies for scaling up green hydrogen production, developing supporting infrastructure, and building market demand under India’s National Green Hydrogen Mission (NGHM).
The two-day event will feature participation from key Union Ministers, including Pralhad Joshi, Minister of New and Renewable Energy and Minister of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution; Hardeep Singh Puri, Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas; and Jitendra Singh, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Science & Technology and Earth Sciences.
Santosh Kumar Sarangi, Secretary, MNRE and Chairman, SECI, said the conference aims to align the priorities of the government, industry, and research community to fast-track the Green Hydrogen Mission’s implementation.
“Green hydrogen will play a vital role in India’s pursuit of clean, affordable, and domestically produced energy,” Sarangi said. “As the sector evolves, it’s crucial to bring clarity on technology choices, cost trajectories, infrastructure needs, and demand creation. ICGH 2025 will help harmonise these efforts and accelerate progress under the mission.”
ICGH 2025 will bring together government officials, industry leaders, researchers, technical experts, students, and media representatives. The agenda will include thematic sessions on financing, certification, port readiness, skill development, technology localisation, and the use of green hydrogen across multiple sectors.
International organisations and delegations such as the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), Hydrogen Europe, the H2 Global Foundation, the Korea Hydrogen Alliance, and the Port of Rotterdam Authority are expected to participate.
Further information on the event’s schedule and registration details is available on the official ICGH 2025 website.
