Mumbai: Actor Suniel Shetty penned a heartfelt birthday wish for his daughter, Athiya Shetty, as she turned 33 on Wednesday.
Taking to Instagram, the Dhadkan star shared a warm picture of himself with Athiya at a café, accompanied by a touching note. “Wishing my heart in human form, a beautiful soul … a beautiful day … happy birthday my baby … keep shining, keep believing, keep being you,” he wrote.
Suniel, who often speaks fondly about his close bond with Athiya, also shares a warm relationship with his son-in-law, Indian cricketer KL Rahul.
Athiya and Rahul began dating in 2019 and tied the knot on January 23, 2023, in an intimate ceremony at Suniel’s Khandala farmhouse. The couple welcomed their first child, a daughter named Evaarah, on March 24, 2025.
Athiya made her Bollywood debut in 2015 with the romantic drama Hero opposite Sooraj Pancholi, followed by roles in Mubarakan (2017) and Motichoor Chaknachoor (2019) alongside Nawazuddin Siddiqui. She later stepped away from acting.
Meanwhile, Suniel Shetty is gearing up for his next project, Welcome to the Jungle, directed by Ahmed Khan. The film, the third instalment of the popular Welcome franchise, stars Akshay Kumar, Raveena Tandon, Disha Patani, Jacqueline Fernandez, Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, and others.
Suniel also has Hera Pheri 3, co-starring Akshay Kumar, lined up in his upcoming slate.
