Bettiah (Bihar): Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday accused illegal Bangladeshi immigrants of taking away jobs and posing security risks, asserting that the upcoming Bihar assembly election is aimed at making the state “infiltrator-free.”
Addressing a rally in Bettiah, West Champaran, Shah alleged that the RJD government’s past tenure was marked by “massacres and rapes,” and emphasized that there is no place for bahubalis (strongmen) under the NDA rule.
He said Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government established the Makhana Board, while warning that if “Lalu & Co.” returned to power, they would create an “infiltrator entry board.”
Promising development initiatives, Shah announced that Champaran would get a new airport, defunct sugar mills would be revived through cooperatives, and major welfare schemes would be introduced for the Tharu community if the NDA retained power.
Targeting the opposition alliance, he warned that if the Mahagathbandhan came to power, Champaran would “turn into a mini-Chambal.”
