Doda: In a commendable effort to uplift education in remote areas, the Indian Army, under the aegis of Operation Sadbhavana, has provided essential classroom furniture to Malwas School in the far-flung region of District Doda. This thoughtful contribution will greatly enhance the learning environment for students who had been attending classes while seated on the floor due to inadequate infrastructure.

The furniture distribution ceremony was graced by Mr. Iqbal Hussain, Chief Education Officer, Doda, Mr. Chaman Lal Anand, Zonal Education Officer, Doda, and other dignitaries, who extended heartfelt appreciation to the Indian Army for its generous support. They praised the Army’s continued commitment to strengthening civil-military cooperation and promoting education in underserved communities.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Iqbal Hussain stated, “This initiative by the Indian Army is a shining example of how collaboration between the civil administration and the armed forces can bring meaningful change to the lives of our children. It represents a crucial step toward ensuring that every child, regardless of location, has access to a dignified and conducive learning environment.”

Echoing this sentiment, Mr. Asgar Hussain, Headmaster of Government Upper Primary School, Malwas (Zone Doda), noted that such acts of goodwill not only fulfill immediate infrastructural needs but also inspire hope and motivation among both students and teachers.

Through Operation Sadbhavana, the Indian Army continues to bridge critical gaps in education, healthcare, and community development across Jammu & Kashmir—reinforcing the spirit of unity, compassion, and progress.
