Jammu: A 60-year-old man was injured in a shooting incident in Samba district of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday, officials said.
The incident occurred near the J&K Bank ATM at Bari Brahmana market along the Jammu-Pathankot highway around 9 pm, they said.
The victim, identified as Bishan Dass of Channi Kartholi village, sustained a bullet injury and was taken to the hospital for treatment.
Police have launched an investigation, though the motive behind the attack remains unclear. Preliminary findings suggest no terror link, with officials indicating the incident may have stemmed from a personal rivalry or an attempted robbery.
