Mumbai (Maharashtra): Actor Priyanka Chopra Jonas has officially confirmed her role in SS Rajamouli’s much-anticipated film, tentatively titled Globetrotter, which also stars South superstar Mahesh Babu.

Taking to her Instagram story, Priyanka shared a screenshot of a Deadline report confirming her involvement in the project. While her character details remain undisclosed, reports suggest that the makers are currently finalizing the film’s US distribution deal.

Priyanka’s confirmation comes shortly after Rajamouli unveiled the first look of Prithviraj Sukumaran as the film’s antagonist, ‘Kumbha’. The poster shows Prithviraj in a sleek black suit, seated in a wheelchair with four robotic arms extending from it—radiating a dark, menacing aura.

Rajamouli praised the actor in an Instagram post, writing, “After canning the first shot with Prithvi, I told him, ‘You are one of the finest actors I’ve ever known.’ Bringing life to this sinister, ruthless, powerful antagonist KUMBHA was creatively very satisfying.”

Priyanka and Mahesh Babu also reshared the poster on their social media handles. Priyanka, who recently arrived in India, is reportedly gearing up for the film’s shoot. Her playful Instagram exchange with Mahesh has fueled further buzz about their on-screen collaboration.

The makers are expected to reveal the first look of Mahesh Babu and Priyanka Chopra in the coming days.

Earlier this year, Rajamouli and his team teased the project with an intense poster and the hashtag #Globetrotter, keeping the official title under wraps. Mahesh Babu expressed his excitement on Instagram, writing, “Thank you for all the love… I’m eagerly waiting, just like all of you, for November 2025 to enjoy the reveal together. #GlobeTrotter.”

Further details about the plot and cast are yet to be announced.
