Purnea (Bihar): Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday accused Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and RJD’s Tejashwi Yadav of being “determined” to turn Bihar’s Seemanchal region into a hub of infiltrators. He asserted that the Centre would identify every illegal immigrant, remove their names from voter lists, and deport them.
Speaking at an election rally in Purnea, Shah expressed confidence that the NDA would secure over 160 seats in the 243-member Bihar Assembly.
“Half of the state has already rejected the Congress-RJD alliance,” he said, referring to the first phase of polling held on November 6.
“Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav want to make Seemanchal a centre for infiltrators. The NDA government will identify and deport every illegal immigrant after deleting their names from electoral rolls,” Shah added.
