MENDHAR/JAMMU: A Border Security Force (BSF) porter died on Monday after slipping into a gorge in the Sawjian border area of Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district, officials said.
They said the victim, identified as 30-year-old Mushtaq, lost his footing while on a hillside and fell into a deep gorge, dying on the spot. His body has been recovered.
An official confirmed that Mushtaq was employed as a porter with the BSF. Police have taken cognisance of the incident.
