SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Monday expressed deep sorrow over the loss of lives in the blast near Delhi’s Red Fort and prayed for the swift recovery of the injured.
“The Chief Minister is deeply shocked by the tragic blast near the Red Fort in Delhi that claimed several lives and injured many others. He extends his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and prays for the speedy recovery of those injured,” read a post from his official X handle.
Officials said a high-intensity explosion tore through a slow-moving car near the Red Fort Metro Station on Monday evening, killing at least eight people and gutting several vehicles.
