Div Com Kashmir reviews arrangements for Nagar Kirtan, 350th Martyrdom Commemoration of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji

SRINAGAR: Divisional Commissioner (Div Com) Kashmir, Anshul Garg, today chaired a meeting to review preparations for the observance of the 350th year of the Martyrdom of Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji and the organization of the Nagar Kirtan at Gurdwara Chhatti Patshahi, Srinagar.

The meeting was attended by the Additional Commissioner Kashmir, Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Srinagar, Director Tourism Punjab, SSP Rural Traffic, SP Security, and representatives of the organizing committee.

During the meeting, the Div Com assessed the civil, traffic, and security arrangements along the route from Qazigund to Gurdwara Chhatti Patshahi. He emphasized the importance of seamless coordination among departments to ensure the smooth and successful conduct of the Nagar Kirtan and related commemorative events.

To ensure effective management, the Div Com directed the deployment of magistrates along the designated route for maintaining order and facilitating convoy movement. He appointed ADC Srinagar as the Nodal Officer for overall facilitation of the event and Additional Commissioner Kashmir, Akramullah Tak, as the Nodal Officer for inter-district coordination.

The Div Com further instructed all concerned departments to ensure comprehensive arrangements for VIP participation, including security, traffic regulation, and other essential facilities at the venue.

He urged all departments to work in close synergy to ensure the peaceful and successful conduct of the 350th Martyrdom commemoration and Nagar Kirtan across the Kashmir Division.
