GDC Kastigarh echoes with patriotic fervour during mass recitation of Vande Mataram

DODA: To mark the 150th anniversary of India’s iconic national song “Vande Mataram,” Government Degree College (GDC) Kastigarh organized a grand mass recitation programme on the college campus.

Held under the guidance of Principal Prof. Koshal Mangotra, the event aimed to instill patriotism, cultural pride, and deep respect for India’s rich heritage among students and staff.

The programme began with a soulful recitation of “Vande Mataram,” which resonated across the campus, evoking a strong sense of national pride, unity, and devotion. Faculty members, non-teaching staff, and students participated with great enthusiasm, reflecting their reverence for the national song that once inspired millions during India’s freedom struggle.
Dr. Anupam Lata conducted the proceedings and highlighted the song’s historical significance and emotional power, noting how it continues to symbolize unity and sacrifice.

Principal Prof. Koshal Mangotra appreciated the active involvement of students and staff in celebrating this important milestone. He emphasized that such initiatives are essential for nurturing patriotic values, fostering unity, and strengthening national integrity among the youth.

The event concluded with a collective pledge to uphold the ideals of freedom, harmony, and cultural pride. The mass recitation at GDC Kastigarh, Doda, stood as a heartfelt tribute to 150 glorious years of “Vande Mataram,” reaffirming its timeless message of “Ek Bharat.”
