Mendhar/Jammu: Security forces on Thursday launched a search operation across six border areas in Poonch district as part of heightened security measures in Jammu and Kashmir, officials said.
A joint team comprising the Special Operations Group (SOG), the Army, and the CRPF conducted searches in the Salwah forests, Bareela Kass, Kasbalari, Bagyoute, the Parnai Project Nakka Manjhari area, and Gursai Moorie along the border, they added.
Authorities said the forces remain on high alert and have urged residents to report any suspicious activity in their vicinity.
