Rajouri: Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Abhishek Sharma, yesterday chaired a comprehensive review meeting to evaluate the progress of developmental works being executed by the Public Works Department (PWD) and projects under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) in the district.
The meeting featured detailed discussions on the status of works under the District Sector, UT Capex, NABARD, PMGSY and SASCI schemes across the Rajouri, Thanamandi, Kalakote, Kotranka, Nowshera and Sunderbani divisions.
The Deputy Commissioner stressed the need to accelerate tendering and execution processes for timely utilization of funds. He directed officers to prioritize roads of strategic and security importance and ensure strict adherence to quality standards in all ongoing works.
While reviewing school building projects, the DC emphasized maintaining architectural standards and preserving playgrounds during construction to support a holistic learning environment. He also called for rigorous quality control in works related to educational and health infrastructure across all divisions.
The meeting further reviewed the progress of health building projects and bridge works being executed under UT Capex, District Capex, NABARD, SASCI, DAJGUA and other schemes. The DC urged officers to remove bottlenecks and ensure timely completion of all projects.
