Nagrota: Devyani Rana of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has secured a decisive victory in the Nagrota assembly seat, according to the latest results released by the Election Commission of India.
Rana emerged ahead with 42,183 votes, defeating her nearest competitor, Harsh Dev Singh of the Jammu & Kashmir National Panthers Party, who garnered 17,661 votes. Shamim Begum of the Jammu & Kashmir National Conference followed with 10,834 votes, while independent candidate Anil Sharma received 837 votes.
With a commanding margin of 24,522 votes over Singh, Rana’s win marks a significant gain for the BJP in the Nagrota constituency.
The Election Commission confirmed the final outcome as counting concluded across all 11 rounds.
