Mumbai: Singer-rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh has opened up about his close bond with Kapil Sharma as the two reunite for the high-energy party track “Phurr” from Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2.
Honey Singh said working with Kapil is always easy and full of laughter. Speaking about their latest collaboration, he shared, “Kapil is a very dear friend, and doing a song for his film Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2 was a lot of fun. Phurr is a total party banger—it has that groove that makes you want to hit the dance floor and never leave! So let’s all Phurr our way to the cinemas.”
The foot-tapping track, shot in a massive stadium lit with vibrant disco lights, is sung by Honey Singh and Josh Brar. Honey has also produced the music, with lyrics penned by Raj Brar. The song captures the vibe of a high-voltage party anthem and features Kapil Sharma, Tridha Choudhury, Parul Gulati, and Ayesha Khan.
Actress Parul Gulati spoke about reuniting with Honey Singh after a decade for the special number. Calling it nostalgic and exciting, she said the collaboration felt like a full-circle moment in her career.
“When I met Honey after so many years, it felt like time had stood still. We instantly went back to our Zorawar days—the rehearsals, the laughter, the fun chaos on set,” Parul told IANS.
“Working with him again after ten years was nostalgic yet refreshing. He still has that infectious energy and passion for music. Shooting this song brought back so many memories, and I couldn’t have asked for a better reunion. It truly felt like coming full circle,” she added.
