NEW DELHI: Jammu & Kashmir’s Commissioner Secretary of Industries & Commerce, Vikramjit Singh, received an award on behalf of the J&K Government for being named a top achiever under the Ease of Doing Business (EoDB) and Business Reforms Action Plan (BRAP) 2024 at Udyog Samagam 2025 in New Delhi.

The award was presented by Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal.

Under BRAP 2024, the Union Government assessed States and Union Territories across 25 reform areas aimed at improving ease of doing business. The evaluation covered 434 reform points and was backed by one of the country’s largest feedback exercises, involving over 5.8 lakh businesses and more than 1.3 lakh detailed interviews.

Jammu & Kashmir secured the 5th rank among all States and UTs, emerging as a Top Achiever with leading scores in four of the five key reform categories. The recognition highlights the UT government’s efforts to build a transparent, efficient, and investor-friendly business environment that fosters industrial growth and investment.

The honour at Udyog Samagam 2025 further strengthens J&K’s position as an attractive destination for investors. The event brought together policymakers, industry leaders, and state representatives to celebrate cooperative federalism and progress in India’s industrial sector.
