NEW DELHI, Nov 16: The North American Punjabi Association (NAPA) has called on India and Pakistan to reopen the Kartarpur Corridor, urging both countries to allow Sikh pilgrims to visit the historic gurdwara without restrictions. The association highlighted the corridor’s significance as a symbol of peace and religious harmony, emphasizing that access to the holy site is deeply important for the Sikh community worldwide.

NAPA representatives stressed that temporary closures have caused distress among pilgrims who wish to pay their respects and perform religious rituals at the Gurdwara Darbar Sahib in Kartarpur. They urged both governments to cooperate and ensure that the corridor remains open throughout the year, facilitating smooth and uninterrupted pilgrimages.

The association also called for clear guidelines and improved management of the corridor to enhance safety, convenience, and accessibility for visitors. NAPA expressed hope that reopening the corridor would strengthen cultural and religious ties and promote goodwill between the two nations.
