Central investigative agencies on Sunday collected samples from the Nowgam Police Station blast site to determine the nature and composition of the explosives used in the incident.
Officials said specialised teams examined debris, residue and damaged structures to gather forensic evidence that will help establish how the explosion was triggered.
The samples have been sent for detailed laboratory analysis to identify the materials involved and assess whether the explosives were locally assembled or sourced through a wider network.
Agencies also reviewed the pattern of damage at the site to understand the intensity of the blast. Authorities said the investigation is progressing on priority, with forensic findings expected to play a crucial role in identifying those responsible and uncovering the broader conspiracy behind the attack.
