A dry fruit seller who had been taken in for questioning as part of an ongoing terror module investigation has died from severe burn injuries. Officials said the man, who was picked up for interrogation earlier this week, had sustained critical burns under circumstances that are still being examined.
He was shifted to the hospital, where doctors made efforts to stabilise him, but he later succumbed to his injuries. Authorities have initiated an internal review to determine how the burns occurred and whether any procedural lapses took place during the investigation. Further details are awaited as the inquiry progresses.
