India’s External Affairs Minister expressed deep shock and sorrow over the bus accident in Saudi Arabia that involved Indian pilgrims. The accident reportedly resulted in multiple casualties, prompting the ministry to take immediate action to assist the victims and their families.
In response, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has activated 24×7 control rooms to coordinate relief efforts, provide real-time assistance, and facilitate communication between authorities in Saudi Arabia and the families of the affected pilgrims. Indian officials are closely monitoring the situation and liaising with local authorities to ensure that all necessary support is extended.
The MEA also emphasised its commitment to the prompt repatriation of the deceased and the provision of medical care and logistical support to those injured. Citizens have been advised to reach out to the helpline numbers for updates and assistance regarding the affected pilgrims.
