The lawmakers highlighted that the relationship between the two nations is vital for global stability, economic growth, and strategic cooperation in the Indo-Pacific region.
The resolution emphasises shared democratic values, expanding trade, defence collaboration, and technological partnerships as core pillars of the bilateral relationship. It also calls for continued engagement to address global challenges, promote peace, and foster people-to-people connections between the two countries.
According to the sponsors, the move reflects a strong, cross-party consensus in Washington on strengthening cooperation with New Delhi, noting that deeper ties will benefit both nations and contribute to a more secure and prosperous world.
