Srinagar, Nov 19: The Crime Branch Kashmir (CBK) has filed a chargesheet against six individuals accused of tampering with official documents submitted before the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT), Srinagar Bench. The chargesheet was presented in the competent court following a detailed investigation into the case.

Officials stated that the accused were found to have forged and manipulated records in order to secure undue benefits in service-related matters. The investigation revealed that the documents submitted before CAT Srinagar contained deliberate alterations intended to mislead the tribunal and influence proceedings.

The CBK registered the case under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code pertaining to forgery, cheating, and criminal conspiracy. During the probe, evidence including falsified certificates and manipulated service records was seized, establishing the involvement of the accused in the unlawful act.

Authorities emphasized that such tampering undermines the integrity of judicial and administrative processes. The chargesheet marks a significant step in ensuring accountability and deterring similar attempts to misuse legal forums for personal gain.

Concluding the announcement, the Crime Branch Kashmir reiterated its commitment to uphold transparency and legality in all matters, assuring that strict action will be taken against individuals found guilty of document forgery and related offences.
