Srinagar Nov 19: The Crime Branch Kashmir has filed a chargesheet against six accused individuals for their alleged involvement in tampering official records in a case pending before the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) Srinagar. The chargesheet was submitted before the Court of Special Mobile Magistrate, Srinagar, following a detailed investigation.
According to officials, the accused were found to have forged and manipulated documents to secure undue benefits in a service-related matter. The investigation revealed deliberate falsification of records, misuse of official documents, and attempts to mislead the tribunal.
The Crime Branch stated that sufficient evidence had been collected to establish the role of each accused in the conspiracy. The chargesheet has been filed under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code pertaining to forgery, fraud, and criminal conspiracy.
Authorities reiterated their commitment to ensuring transparency in administrative processes and taking strict action against anyone involved in document tampering or other fraudulent activities.
