NEW DELHI, Nov 21: Investigations into the recent blast in Delhi have uncovered critical details, including the purchase of an AK-47 rifle for more than Rs 5 lakh and the use of a deep freezer to store explosives, officials said.
According to investigators, the probe has revealed a multi-layered network of handlers involved in supplying weapons, coordinating logistics, and overseeing the execution of the incident. The network reportedly operated across several locations, with individuals assigned specific roles to avoid detection.
Officials stated that the deep freezer was used to conceal and preserve explosive materials, helping the accused evade routine checks. The AK-47 recovered during the investigation was traced back to illegal channels, confirming the involvement of organised weapons suppliers.
Security agencies are now focusing on identifying each handler linked to the supply chain, communication routes, and financial transactions that supported the operation. The findings point to a coordinated effort involving multiple participants working under a layered command structure.
Authorities emphasized that the investigation is progressing rapidly, and further arrests and recoveries are expected as the network continues to be unravelled.
