ICC J&K Chief Rahul Sahai Holds Talks with Union MoS Home

Chairman of the Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC) J&K, Rahul Sahai, called on Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, Bandi Sanjay Kumar, to discuss key issues concerning industrial growth and economic development in Jammu and Kashmir. During the meeting, Sahai highlighted the challenges faced by local industries, including rising operational costs, delays in clearances, and the need for stronger support mechanisms to boost the region’s business environment.

Rahul Sahai apprised the Minister about the necessity of creating an investor-friendly ecosystem, strengthening security measures for industrial zones, and ensuring timely policy interventions to encourage new investments. He also emphasized the importance of modern infrastructure, uninterrupted power supply, and efficient logistics to enhance the competitiveness of J&K’s industrial sector.

Union MoS Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar assured full cooperation from the Ministry and stated that the government is committed to facilitating a stable, secure, and growth-oriented environment for industries in the Union Territory. He appreciated the role of ICC J&K in representing the concerns of the business community and stressed that the Centre remains focused on accelerating economic activity in the region.

Rahul Sahai expressed gratitude for the Minister’s support and said that ICC J&K will continue to work closely with the administration and central ministries to promote sustainable industrial development, job creation, and economic upliftment across Jammu and Kashmir.
