Senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Devendra Fadnavis, stated that had Operation Sindoor been conducted after the 26/11 terror attacks, it would have sent a strong message to terrorists, and nobody would have dared to attack India again. He emphasised the importance of decisive military and strategic operations in deterring cross-border terrorism and protecting national security.
Fadnavis highlighted that timely and effective counter-terror measures are crucial to safeguarding citizens and infrastructure from potential threats. He said that operations like Op Sindoor could have served as both a punitive and preventive step, reinforcing India’s stance against terror networks.
The leader also stressed the need for continuous vigilance, intelligence-based action, and coordinated efforts among defence forces and security agencies to prevent any recurrence of such large-scale attacks. He urged the government to ensure that lessons from past incidents are implemented effectively in future security planning.
Fadnavis concluded by reaffirming that strong and proactive measures are essential for national safety, and such actions would act as a deterrent to anyone contemplating attacks on Indian soil.
