The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), in coordination with Delhi Police’s Special Cell, seized 328 kilograms of methamphetamine valued at approximately Rs 262 crore during a major operation in Chhatarpur, New Delhi. Two individuals have been arrested in connection with the recovery.
Officials stated that the contraband was stored in a residential property and was intended for distribution through an international drug trafficking network. The joint operation was carried out following intelligence inputs, marking one of the largest seizures of synthetic drugs in the capital.
The NCB emphasized that the crackdown reflects its commitment to dismantling organized narcotics syndicates and preventing the spread of synthetic drugs in India. Investigations are underway to trace the wider network and identify other individuals involved.
Authorities highlighted that the seizure underscores the growing challenge of synthetic drug trafficking and the need for coordinated enforcement efforts to safeguard public health and security.
