Srinagar, Nov 26: A severe cold wave continues to grip Jammu & Kashmir, with Srinagar recording the season’s coldest night at –3.9°C on Tuesday. The Meteorological Department has warned residents to take precautions as temperatures are expected to remain low in the coming days.

Officials advised citizens, especially the elderly and children, to avoid early morning and late-night exposure to extreme cold. Local authorities have also made arrangements for shelters and heating facilities in vulnerable areas to help residents cope with the chilly conditions.

The cold wave has also led to frost formation in many parts of the valley, impacting daily life and transport. The Meteorological Department has urged people to stay updated with weather advisories and take necessary safety measures.
