The Indian Air Force (IAF) and the French Air and Space Force successfully conducted the Garuda 25 joint exercises, aimed at enhancing operational synergy and strengthening bilateral defence cooperation. The drills included a series of complex aerial operations, tactical manoeuvres, and interoperability training designed to improve coordination between the two forces.
During the exercises, pilots and support crews from both nations carried out combined air combat drills, search-and-rescue operations, and precision mission planning. The exercise also focused on sharing best practices, advancing technological familiarity, and refining communication protocols for joint operations.
IAF officials said the Garuda 25 exercises are part of a longstanding defence partnership between India and France, reflecting mutual commitment to regional security and strategic collaboration. The drills aim to foster professional camaraderie, improve operational efficiency, and enhance readiness for combined missions under diverse scenarios.
French Air and Space Force representatives praised the professionalism and skill demonstrated by the IAF personnel and highlighted the importance of such exercises in strengthening international military ties. Both sides reaffirmed their intent to continue joint training initiatives and deepen bilateral defence cooperation in the years ahead.
